My Saving Grace { Cleaning Products } Part 2

1:56:00 PM

OK so I left off Friday with 5 of my most fave cleaning products! I figured after the first round y'all needed a breather so here is the NEXT round! Same disclaimer as the last post...these are not your vinegar and water types of cleaning and yes I know I am probably losing brain cells in the process BUT...my house is sparkly (at times) and this is what works for me! So here you go Sami...round 2!

6. Clorox Bleach - yes...I said it. Bleach! I fill one side of my sink up at a time with HOT water and then pour bleach into it. Set the timer for 1 hour and as I am draining it out I use my sponge scrubber and wipe out the sink! It makes it shiny and sparkly! I also double duty this step by using the sponge and an old toothbrush dipped in the bleach water to scrub my microwave, stove and dishwasher door! It's fantabulous really! OH and did you know there is "scented" bleach too?! Oh yes...yes there is!

7. Lysol Wipes - These are a staple in my home. We use them to clean the table, the highchair, the counters, the bathroom counters the toilet (the wand is for the inside remember!) I love these little buggers! AND they are easy for the kids to use too! Which is fantastic! They also know to go wash their hands when they are done using them...of course!

8. Pledge Multi- Surface Duster & Swiffer Duster- OK so its a toss up between these two! I personally use the Pledge brand one for ME to use around the house. Its skinny and catches the dust super easily! BUT we also have the Swiffer brand ones in our home and I have the kids use those to dust (they dust shelves, baseboards etc!). I love that both of these products are easy to use, skinny for small surfaces and fool proof! I HATED my old dusters! I would sneeze and cough and honestly our house is SO beyond dusty all the time its completely ridonkulous! This puppy helps me clean my lights, dust the ceilings (I hate it when the ceiling gets dusty!), dust the t.v. etc!

9. Windex Outdoor All in One - This is like one of the best inventions ever! I mean for real...its long enough handle (adjustable I might add!) makes it easy for even a shorty like myself to clean all my hard to reach windows! You spray your windows with the hose water, use the Outdoor all in one by scrubbing onto your wet windows. Then rinse off! THAT easy! AND we have never had an issue with it streaking! I can get all of the windows including the slider at my house with one pad...THEN I let it dry and there is still enough use out of it for the next time I wash my windows! (ignore the "see how it works" its just a pic!)

10. Unbelievable- truly this stuff IS unbelievable! I got the recommendation for this carpet cleaner from the vacuum store where we bought our new vacuum. I told him I was dying to have something that actually worked! He warned me the price is a bit high (really not that bad though!) but that it does work! Well...we got to test this puppy out when my daughter knocked over a glass of RED WINE onto my almost white carpet and fave white pillows (that were a wedding present of course!) I cried! Not gonna lie! And through my tears I sprayed the poo outta the pillows with this stuff (yes for carpet but figured it was worth a try!) stuck them in the wash with bated breath. Pulled them out and they were WHITE again! NO traces of stains! As with any carpet cleaner, do be sure to try in a small out of sight area!

There you have it! My FAVE go to cleaning products! I hope you find something here that works for you! Have a blessed day!

  1. Excited to try out a few of your recommendations! Very intrigued with the carpet cleaner...where did you buy it? Kids and clean carpets are like oil and water. Guess we will wait a few years for new carpet but in the meantime I have to try that Unbelievable.....

  2. I'm so glad you posted your fave cleaning items. Sometimes I start to feel guilty for using so many chemicals in the house (and I don't use many), but then I think, You know what? My house is clean. And I feel better when my house is clean.

I do what I can with vinegar and baking soda, but sometimes I just don't have the time or energy to put into cleaning that way, so pre-soaked wipes it is!
