My friends from college nicknamed me Martha Stewart because I am crafty and cook. I am stubborn and naive and I cherish my friendships. I am your typical Pisces, overly sensitive and have a hard time saying no. God makes my decisions for me and I love my family more than anything in this world. I prefer cats to dogs, flip-flops over tennis shoes and I am extremely girly and loathe being dirty! I tell my friends I love them and have been known to hug strangers. I hate to work out and love to eat junk food! Food is generally made from scratch in my home yet I love Taco Bell!
I don’t like to judge people, as I hate to be judged. Give me snow and sun any day…I melt in the rain! If someone looks at me the wrong way I fight back tears. I get nervous around people I don’t know and try to travel in ‘packs’! I have been blessed in many ways and am so thankful for those who have waltzed into my life. I was voted “most spirited” in High School and have been told I have as much energy as a hamster!
I LOVE all things artsy! Be it photography or crafts. I love me some Starbucks…in more ways than you will ever know! The day I got my Gold card with my name written on it I kissed it and almost cried…yes I am THAT desperate for coffee! I am a farm girl at heart. Growing up on 40 acres where I could roam and do whatever I wanted. I miss my days on the farm but have learned you can take the girl from the country but you can’t take the country from the girl! I run around barefoot most days and have to sit on the side of the tub and wash my feet; I am noticing more and more my kids have my deep roots in them as they are just the same! I love to garden and dig worms with the kids. I will ALWAYS grow my summertime veggies and fruits and can make a mean jar of homemade jam. The song “Boondocks” by Little Big Town HAD to have been written for me because it IS my anthem!
Our Father has given me the strength to be everything I am called to be. He HAS shown me what’s good in this world. “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.”
I hope you can call me friend and find some nuggets in my blog along the way! Thank you for reading and above all remember WHO you are and where you came from…now go out and do something amazing!
