All In

I had breakfast with a sweet friend of mine today. We have been bouncing thoughts off one another and just plain enjoying one another's company. Today we chatted about the difficulties in the world. About how there is so much hatred and misery going on around us. How everything read is filled with such harshness and no one can agree on anything. My words are a battle against his words or vice versa. We chatted about our own worlds. Our own battles and trials we are facing, from medical to uncharted territories with children. Friendships and even families. About how although we try to draw ourselves inward and closer to the Lord, we are all facing our own battles of spiritual warfare. I looked at her and said simply, I feel like I am preparing for the end to come. She lifted her hands and said, "Lord we are ready."

What are you battling? Are you feeling lost, hurt, disgusted or maybe downtrodden? We all have our own sufferings. We all have struggles of our own...but instead of dwelling upon self loathing, self pity or doubt we should depend and lean on God. When you're feeling like, "really...again?" Try to laugh it off and say, "Not this time! I am putting my faith and my trust in God. He's got this and HE has ME!"

Something I depend on when I am in those moments of being tested is worship music. NO JOKE I blare it.

I received Matthew West's latest All In, from Capitol Records and we have had it on repeat since it arrived. Matt, my friend. This is by far my most favorite album of yours to date! My 10 year old daughter told me she loves how it instantly makes her happy. She cannot help but smile. My 4 year old daughter is OBSESSED with your daughters and makes me "rewind" the parts with your babies. She sings along at the top of her lungs "I'm going SHOPPPPPING at the Mall!"  And my son who struggles with anxiety due to his dysgraphia, instantly is uplifted by your song, Amen! Then there is my sweet Mushy who can be heard belting alongside you with her lisp from her toothless grin.

It has been an absolute honor listening to your album. Keep on keeping God. You rock brother! Amen and Hallelujah.

BUT here is the awesome part...you too can own your very own copy of Matthew's new album! All you have to do is enter the wee contest below. Winners must be at least 18 years of age or older and a U.S. resident. It's simple. Why wouldn't you? May the odds be ever in your favor!
